George Santos Falls in Line Behind Trump and Votes for Extreme Conspiracy Theorist Jim Jordan for Speaker

Serial liar and criminally-indicted George Santos voted today for MAGA extremist Jim Jordan for speaker in the chaotic, ongoing GOP leadership fight. This follows Donald Trump’s endorsement of Jordan earlier this month.

Santos had every opportunity to embrace a bipartisan governing coalition, but chose to join his MAGA colleagues in championing Jordan instead.

Jim Jordan has hurt Long Island families. In Congress, Jordan has: 

• Voted against funding for 9/11 victims twice. 

• Voted against emergency aid for Hurricane Sandy three times. 

Now, thanks to Santos, Speaker candidate Jim Jordan has the greenlight to continue to push his extreme, dangerous agenda on New Yorkers that:

• Defunds federal law enforcement.

• Passes a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions.

• Repeals investments that are creating good-paying jobs and reinvigorating American manufacturing.

• Cuts Social Security and ends Medicare as we know it.
