Does Mitchell Agree With Her Party’s Efforts to Gut Coverage for Pre-existing Conditions?
Yet another poll shows that access to affordable health care is a top priority for a majority of Hoosiers, but GOP congressional candidate Kelly Mitchell still isn’t saying whether she supports her party’s legal efforts to end protections for pre-existing conditions and devastate our health care system.
If the Republican-led lawsuit is successful, coverage would be cut for maternity care, prescription drugs, and mental health care for millions of Americans and coverage for 329,300 people in the 5th District with pre-existing conditions would be at risk.
“Washington Republicans are doing everything they can to destroy Hoosiers’ access to affordable health care and gut protections for pre-existing conditions, despite working people in Indiana saying clearly they won’t stand for this attack on their health care,” said DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice. “Even if she is Washington Republicans’ handpicked candidate, Hoosiers deserve to know: does Kelly Mitchell support her party’s lawsuit to undermine our health care system and make care more expensive for thousands of families in the 5th District?”
