“We are growing increasingly alarmed”
Reporting from the Detroit News and New York Times confirms just how chaotic and flailing the Republican campaign operation really is.
After giving the Michigan state GOP party hundreds of thousands of dollars, the NRCC is now panicking and accusing the party of mismanaging their funds on lavish speakers and conferences instead of supporting candidates. In their letter, the NRCC accuses them of “grossly mismanaged” funds and threatens that the state party may be “excluded from their generosity” in the future.
These threats don’t bode well for vulnerable Republicans or GOP challengers in Michigan. Clearly, the chaos and total dysfunction that has embroiled House Republicans in Congress has spilled over onto the campaign trail.
DCCC Spokesperson Jacob Haythorn:
“Republicans’ utter inability to govern in any capacity is weakening them in every state on the battlefield, and they will lose the House because clearly the only thing voters can count on them to deliver is chaos and extremism.” |
