Just one week before the Republican primary in AZ-06, House GOP leaders are calling in the cavalry for their candidate Juan Ciscomani.
Kevin McCarthy and the NRCC have been trotting out Ciscomani for months, but now appear to be seeing warning signs that their “star recruit” could lose to Trump-aligned “America First” candidate Kathleen Winn. In an eleventh-hour cash infusion, McCarthy’s super PAC is flooding the airwaves with $1 million to drag Ciscomani over the finish line.
Will AZ-06 be the latest district where McCarthy’s candidate loses in spite of a last-minute cash dash?

“AZ-06: In a little-noticed development with just a week to go before Arizona’s Aug. 2 primaries, the Congressional Leadership Fund has now spent more than $1 million to help its preferred candidate in the GOP primary for the swingy 6th District, Juan Ciscomani.”

“The infusion is notable because Ciscomani, an aide to termed-out Gov. Doug Ducey, had far outspent his only notable foe, former mortgage banker Kathleen Winn, by a huge margin as of July 13, $1.3 million to $262,000.”

And just as the unhinged Lake has been giving fits to what remains of the GOP establishment, Winn may as well.”
