We’ve all had to deal with messy drama in the group chat, but who knew that adage also applied to House Republican leadership.
According to new reporting from Politico Huddle, Brian Fitzpatrick and GOP Washington insiders are suffering from a Mark Houck headache in the contentious PA-01 Republican primary. In a text chain, GOP leadership fretted about Fitzpatrick’s race in “an informal strategy discussion centered on defending Fitzpatrick, a battleground incumbent, against Houck.”
Houck has said that he did not intend to primary Fitzpatrick, but “eventually could not refuse it thankfully for the influence of Reps. Jim Jordan, Chip Roy, Scott Perry, and Mike Johnson.”
