GOP Plan Would Raise Taxes On 49% Of Small Business Owners in New York

Republicans must defend their proposal to raise taxes on small business owners

New analysis reveals the impact that the Republican agenda would have on Americans, warning small businesses that they could suffer.

In New York, the GOP plan would raise taxes on 49.3% of small business owners and the median owner would have to pay $1,400 more in taxes.

Small business owners making less than $50,000 would fare even worse – 82.7% of them would experience a tax increase in New York under the GOP plan.

It’s clear that the GOP plan would have devastating effects on the historic economic recovery that communities across the state have experienced over the last two years. Voters deserve to know how New York GOP candidates plan to defend these small business tax increases.

DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola:
“While Republicans seek to raise taxes on hard-working Americans and small business owners, Democrats are fighting to lower prices and deliver results.”
