For nearly a month, Speaker Mike Johnson has canceled all votes, giving House Republicans a de facto vacation in the middle of their shutdown, refusing to address the health care crisis they created, and lurching us closer to the day that health care costs will skyrocket for working families across the country.
During this Mike Johnson-sponsored time off, rank and file House Republicans have been running scared, hiding from their constituents back home, and merrily allowing their health care crisis to unfold, seemingly unfazed by the harm they will cause for millions of Americans in the process.
This is in stark contrast to House Democrats, who are showing up and fighting every day to lower costs and protect health care for their communities.
