Grassroots small-dollar donors power DCCC to strong January Fundraising Report

64% of the $7.2 million raised in January came from small-dollar gifts

Today the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced its January 2019 fundraising totals. Of the $7.2 million raised by the DCCC during the month, more than $4.5 million, or 64% of the total money raised, came through small-dollar contributions made online, on the phone, or in the mail.

“We are running a world-class political operation at the DCCC and we’re incredibly proud to be powered primarily by small-dollar contributions from everyday Americans who want to fortify and expand the Democratic House Majority,” said DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos. “November 2020 is still a long time away, but the energy we’re seeing from the grassroots across America sends a clear message that Democrats are going on offense early so we can make real progress to lower health care costs, rebuild America and crackdown on the corruption in Washington.”
