Barb Solish of the DCCC released the following statement after Congressman Cresent Hardy attempted to distance himself from Donald Trump today:
“For over a year Cresent Hardy has been presented with mounds of evidence that Donald Trump is sexist, racist, and a serious threat to our national security, and yet he still stood behind him ‘100%.’
“Hardy’s political lipservice today is too little, too late. The choice for President is binary, and by saying Hardy won’t support ‘that lady,’ he is in effect still doing ‘whatever’ he’s asked to do to get Trump elected.”
