| While Republicans’ failures on cost of living come in many shapes and sizes, there’s one affordability issue that remains a top issue for voters ahead of the midterm elections: health care.
Americans are seeing their health insurance premiums skyrocket thanks to Republicans’ gutting of the ACA tax credits, with many losing their health insurance altogether. And hospitals and clinics are shutting down or trimming their services after Republicans cut their funding. Data from a recent Fox News poll shows rising premiums and health care costs are voters’ top domestic concern.
DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley:
“House Republicans slashed Medicaid, hospital funding, and the ACA tax credits to pay for tax cuts for their billionaire buddies. Americans are struggling under skyrocketing premiums and fewer options to get the care they need — that’s why health care is a top issue in the midterms, and Republicans are on the wrong side of this issue.”
