HEADLINES: Lewis Sparks Media Firestorm For Offensive Beliefs
Last week, CNN’s KFile released newly-uncovered audio of Rep. Jason Lewis making offensive, sexist and racist comments from his days as a conservative radio commentator. In the five days since, Lewis has fully melted down, claiming he’s the one under attack, lashing out at everyone but himself, and falsely claiming the press covered these deeply offensive comments in his last campaign.
“Jason Lewis is unhinged and in full meltdown mode,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “By lashing out and standing by his deeply-offensive words, he’s making it clear he doesn’t represent Minnesota values and is unfit for office. If Jason Lewis won’t answer for his behavior, Minnesotans will hold him accountable this November.”
