Hispanic Voters Will Shape the Midterms

NYT: “Democratic gains among Hispanic voters would imperil Republicans in more than a dozen districts”
National polls over the last month show Democrats leading with Hispanic likely voters by up to 35 points. This shift among Hispanic voters leaves Republicans in danger in districts where Trump won by double digits. Republicans’ 2024 top of the ticket victory was driven by Hispanic voters in states like Florida and Texas, but those same voters are abandoning Republicans in droves.

Republicans’ gerrymandering scheme in Texas is also poised to fail — the redrawn maps were anchored on Latino voters’ support for Trump which is cratering.

DCCC Spokesperson Bridget Gonzalez:
“Republicans lied to Latino voters and everything is more expensive because of them, and now they’re ready to reject them in November.”
