| Facing an epic defeat in November due to their failure to lower costs, Republicans are coalescing around a desperate midterm message to amplify the least popular piece of legislation signed into law in modern American history.
While Trump’s extreme agenda stripped health care from millions and prioritized permanent tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy, the GOP is now betting on tax day to distract from a painful reality. Between spiking gas prices, out-of-control utility costs, and Trump’s reckless tariffs, Americans are paying the price for Republican overreach.
According to POLITICO, an unnamed House Republican said, “It’s all we have to run on.”
The problem with that logic is Trump’s partisan tax scheme is the least popular law in modern history. From the Daily Beast:
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“We welcome any and all Republicans in swing-districts from coast to coast to campaign on this wildly unpopular bill.”
