House Democrats Enter Election Year with Money, Momentum, and Message

As campaigns file their 2025 Q4 campaign finance reports, House Democrats are reporting strong, broad levels of support across the country for the start of the on-year.

Here are the facts from Q4 filings

  • Democratic Frontliners outraised their GOP challengers by a 3-1 margin on average.
    • Democratic Frontliners also boasted an average cash-on-hand advantage over their GOP challengers of $1.8 million to $281,000.
  • Democratic challengers to Republican-held seats averaged $257,000 raised, outrunning Republican challengers across the battlefield, who only raised a meager $184,000 on average.
    • And multiple Democratic challengers OUTRAISED their Republican incumbents (WI-03, IA-01, PA-10, FL-07, and TN-05, to name a few).

These campaign finance filings reveal sweeping grassroots support for House Democrats, powering their way to victory in November.

In addition to the strong fundraising numbers by House Democrats, we have also taken a commanding – and HISTORIC – polling lead in the race for control of the House.

Fox News poll last week shows Democrats up 6 POINTS on the generic congressional ballot, including 62% of Independents supporting Democrats. The current 52% support for congressional Democrats is the HIGHEST recorded for either party in the Fox News poll, a momentous data point considering Democrats won 41 seats in the 2018 midterms.

The recent polling edge comes as the nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted 18 House districts in Democrats’ direction.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“House Republicans are running scared, and they should be. From polling to rallies to town halls, it’s clear the American people are pissed that Republicans are making everything more expensive and ripping away health care from hardworking families, all to pay for tax breaks for the wealthiest few. Going into the on-year, momentum is on our side – and with better candidates, a better message, and the public souring on Republicans, Democrats are poised to take back the majority.”
