Today, as women across the country continue to face the brutal consequences of Republicans’ war on reproductive freedoms, House Democrats are re-introducing legislation to protect abortion access and restore the protections the conservative Supreme Court ripped away when they followed House Republicans’ advice and overturned Roe v. Wade.
The Women’s Health Protection Act will codify the reproductive freedoms guaranteed by Roe.
DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“If Republicans knew any better, they would echo the will of the American people and support Democrats’ Women’s Health Protection Act which would restore reproductive freedom nationwide. Instead, House Republicans remain hellbent on ripping away abortion rights inch by inch until they achieve their goal of a nationwide abortion ban.”
