After House Floor Stunt, Jolly Votes 8th Time Against Zika Funding Bill

Upon returning to D.C. after a seven-week recess, Congressman David Jolly immediately voted again to block a bill that would fully fund a Zika virus response at the president’s full request. The DCCC released the following statement:

“After David Jolly joined the House Republicans in going on recess without ensuring Zika funding, it is disappointing that he returned to Washington and again voted to block a bill that fully funds a Zika virus response. This comes after he had the gall to carry a jar of mosquito larvae on the House Floor to underscore the urgency of the Zika crisis. He had the chance to act today and he blew it.” –DCCC Spokesman, Jermaine House
