Nearly three years to the day after a mob stormed the US Capitol, GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik would not commit to certifying the 2024 presidential election.
Will John James commit to certifying the election, or will he stand by Trump and Stefanik?
Make no mistake: John James, GOP House leadership, and other vulnerable House Republicans are still enabling efforts to promote false conspiracy theories and undermine our democracy on Trump’s orders.
It’s important to remember that during the 2020 election certification, James promoted the “Big Lie” after refusing to acknowledge his defeat and spread unfounded claims of election fraud to silence Michigan voters. James has also taken donations from five different Michigan fake electors facing eight felony charges.
