House Republicans are scheming to screw over average Americans by unleashing massive cuts to health care and food assistance programs – all while ballooning the federal deficit.
Late last night, Republicans on the Budget Committee passed a blueprint that instructs lawmakers to make devastating cuts to Medicaid and SNAP. At one point, a far-right Republican made clear the committee was interested in looking to cut Social Security next.
These cruel cuts to critical programs that help make life better for everyday Americans will be used to fund huge tax cuts for billionaires and wealthy corporations.
At a time when everyday Americans are struggling to live paycheck to paycheck (with the price of eggs reaching an all time high just this week), Republicans are yet again preparing to screw you over.
