Once again, House Republicans are trying to take credit for popular investments they voted against.
Just days after the omnibus bill was passed, Chair of the House Republican Conference Rep. Elise Stefanik is already being called out for trying to take credit for the bill’s investments, despite voting against it.
Voters are sick and tired of having Republicans mislead them. It was Democrats who delivered this necessary legislation to help states fund local infrastructure projects, job training programs, and more – but Rep. Stefanik and House Republicans are trying to confuse voters into thinking they secured funding that they sought to block.
“Rep. Stefanik voted to kill this legislation that invests in American families, schools, and workers, but she wants the credit anyways” said DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre. “Rep. Stefanik is making the grave mistake of thinking voters won’t hold her and her caucus accountable for their hypocrisy.”
