House Republicans AGAIN Vote Against Combating Mass Shootings

House Democrats pass legislation to help improve active shooter responses

Yesterday, the House passed the Active Shooter Alert Act, a commonsense bill that would send out AMBER-style alerts when a gunman opens fire.

168 Republicans disgracefully voted against this legislation that will save lives and keep families safe by warning people to avoid dangerous areas and give law enforcement tools to effectively communicate with the community.

DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“When given yet another opportunity to address the gun violence epidemic, the majority of House Republicans disgracefully voted no. Every single Republican must answer why they voted against giving law enforcement more tools to combat active shooters and save lives.”
