House Republicans Are Desperate To Bring Back Their Top Billionaire Benefactor

Why?
Because Republicans are losing.

In yet another sign that the razor-thin GOP majority is slipping away ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, JD Vance is openly begging Elon Musk to come back into the fold.

“So my hope is that by the time of the midterms, he’s kind of come back into the fold,” Vance admitted — just months after Musk exposed Trump’s involvement in the so-called Epstein client list.

Republicans trail the generic ballot by nearly four points, according to the RCP average, as their Big, Ugly Law remains the most unpopular bill signed into law in modern American history.

Over 200 days into the Trump administration, the U.S. economy is reeling. Inflation is rising and job growth is dwindling. Instead of lowering the high cost of living, House Republicans voted for the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to give massive tax breaks to billionaire donors like Musk. Republicans are hoping he will return to line their coffers with campaign cash and rescue their chances of victory.

In 2024, Musk spent nearly $20 million to help House Republicans — despite them losing several seats. What’s more, he poured millions into a Wisconsin state Supreme Court race — only to lose badly.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
Republicans know that the American people see through their broken promises and will reject them next year. They betrayed working families and decided to bail out billionaires like Elon Musk. These frauds know they can’t win on the issues, so they are begging their top campaign benefactor to bail them out.”
