“Policy changes to slow delivery at the U.S. Postal Service are taking a toll on military veterans”
In the midst of a global pandemic, President Trump and Washington Republicans are bragging about sabotaging the Post Office to stop the American people from casting their ballots safely in November.
But, as Republicans in Washington work to literally disassemble the USPS and block Americans from casting their ballot, their reckless political maneuvering is also impacting American’s across the country in other ways. Our nation’s veterans often rely on the USPS to receive their mail-order prescription drugs bearing the consequences of the careless and politically motivated decision.
As the AP stated, “Policy changes to slow delivery at the U.S. Postal Service are taking a toll on military veterans, who are reporting much longer wait times to receive mail-order prescription drugs.”
As our nation grapples with the deadliest pandemic in recent history, will House Republicans stand up for America’s veterans?
“Washington Republicans desperate attempt to keep Americans from being able to cast their ballots is leaving our veterans without access to medication,” said DCCC Spokesperson, Fabiola Rodriguez. “Our nation’s veterans deserve to know whether House Republicans are so desperate to protect themselves politically that they would deprive veterans of life-saving medications.”
