House Republicans Cancel Votes for the Rest of the Summer, Melt Down Over Efforts to Protect Billionaires (Again)

Republicans are calling it quits early for the summer as the House GOP Conference grinds to a halt over concerns about voting on a bipartisan amendment to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Since the start of the 119th Congress, Republicans have failed to deliver on their campaign promises, like lowering the high cost of living or providing the American people with transparency. Instead, they’ve acted as rubber stamps for Donald Trump’s demands by bankrolling and protecting the elites.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The so-called Republican moderates prioritized their billionaire donors by enacting the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy. Now, they’re protecting Donald Trump and billionaire elites by refusing to provide transparency into the Epstein files.”
