American families have shelled out $450 more per-household in energy expenses since Donald Trump and House Republicans’ war of choice in Iran began.

According to Moody’s Analytics, Republicans’ reckless war has “cumulatively cost American consumers nearly $60 billion as gas prices and airline fares have surged” and, “if prices stay at current levels, the average household could take a hit of almost $2,000 at the one-year mark of the war.”
REMINDER: Less than two months ago, House Republicans held a sad press conference on Tax Day to brag about their Big, Ugly Bill. Fast forward to today, and it’s clear that the only people who benefited from the GOP Tax Scam were the wealthiest few, with any new tax savings being completely wiped out by rising costs caused by the war and other Republican policies.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Hardworking Americans are struggling to keep up with rising prices, tapping into their hard-earned savings and racking up higher credit card debt just to pay for the basics like gas and groceries. House Republicans rubber-stamping their reckless war of choice in Iran has proven yet again they only care about falling in line behind Trump, forcing American families to pay the price.”
