Today, House Republicans once again elevated dangerous far-right rhetoric and gave hate a national platform.
MAGA extremist Jim Jordan made the irresponsible and reckless decision to invite Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to address his committee despite Kennedy’s reprehensible anti-semitic and anti-Asian comments aimed at perpetuating harmful and debunked racist tropes.
Despite a call from a national human rights organization to rescind the invitation, House Republicans still lept at the opportunity to bring this conspiracy theorist to Congress and give him a national platform, with Speaker McCarthy saying he didn’t have concerns with RFK’s appearance.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“House Republicans continue to use their majority to prioritize power, politics, and hate. Americans are looking for responsible governance, not reckless extremism. By embracing far-right, fringe ideologies, House Republicans have again proven just how unfit they are to lead and it will cost them their majority.”
