MAGA House Republicans chased Rep. Chris Jacobs out of Congress after the Republican came out in favor of gun safety measures following multiple mass shootings. Mere hours later, House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, the person in charge of GOP messaging, endorsed Jacobs’ would-be primary opponent Carl Paladino for NY-23.
Carl Paladino has a record of being openly racist saying he’d like to see Former First Lady Michelle Obama “return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla.”
This endorsement is despicable but unsurprising coming from “Great Replacement” theory proponent Elise Stefanik.
DCCC Spokesperson Chris Taylor:
“The NRCC, Tom Emmer, and Kevin McCarthy must denounce this endorsement and Paladino’s disgusting remarks or admit they’re okay with racists in their caucus.”
