According to new analysis, the Department of Education is withholding billions of funds to public schools across the country, including more than $9 million in grants appropriated to Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District.
Without these funds, schools in KY-06 may not be able to hire new teachers, train educators, or provide affordable after-school care for working families.
As House Republicans celebrate their efforts to rip food off Kentucky children’s tables, students and working families are missing out on the support and resources they need.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“House Republicans are more than happy to let D.C. politicians play political football with Kentucky children’s futures. Kentucky’s working families deserve a fighter in Congress that will rise above partisan politics to get things done for them – not another extremist rubber stamp.”
