House Republicans Must Support Bipartisan Legislation to Create Independent Investigative Committee

In response to Jim Comey’s testimony today confirming that Russia interfered in the Presidential election, DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law issued the following statement on the need for an independent investigative committee:

“Jim Comey’s testimony provided further evidence that House Republicans must finally put country before party and support a bipartisan, independent committee to investigate Russia’s interference in our democracy, which included the hacking of the DCCC and Democratic campaigns,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “Chairman Devin Nunes is the subject of a serious Ethics probe, and the sham Russia investigation that he is still quarterbacking – despite promising to recuse himself – has created a crisis of confidence with the American people.”
