Millions of Americans face looming health care price hike – House Republicans have ‘no plan’ and refuse to come to work
Mike Johnson and House Republicans have refused to go to work since September 19th. In that month, they shut the government down, cheerleaded cruel mass layoffs, and attacked the Affordable Care Act tax credits that have helped millions of Americans afford health care as a “boondoggle.”
In short, they have decided to take a de facto monthlong vacation, driving the country off a health care cliff, causing monthly health care costs to skyrocket for tens of millions of working families when open enrollment starts on November 1.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Mike Johnson and House Republicans admitted they have no plan to avert the health care crisis they caused nor do they want to stop the price hike millions of working Americans are about to face. Rather than deal with the problem they created, they have now officially been on paid vacation for a month. In any other job, you’d get fired and that’s exactly what voters will do next November.”
