Last night, new reporting from Axios detailed how House Republicans are bracing for a government shutdown behind closed doors.
After wasting months on sham impeachments and neverending bouts of infighting, chaos, and dysfunction, they are once again abdicating their responsibility to protect the economy and deliver much needed relief for working families across the country.
With only nine days to go before government funding begins to run out, House Republicans continue to play politics without a coherent plan to keep the government open.
DCCC Spokesperson Jacob Haythorn:
“No wonder scores of senior House Republicans are heading for the exits. Their majority is totally unserious about governing and cannot be trusted to deliver for working families. Voters are exhausted with the neverending crises and lack of results and will absolutely give Democrats the majority in November to finally put an end to the GOP chaos.” |
