House Republicans Vote Against Stopping Domestic Terrorism

In wake of the mass shooting in Buffalo, House passes bill to help prevent future attacks

Yesterday, the House passed the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, following the racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, New York. The legislation will set up offices specifically focused on tracking and analyzing domestic terrorist activity at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the FBI with the goal of preventing devastating attacks, rather than just reacting after the fact.

203 House Republicans opposed legislation to prevent domestic terrorist attacks.

DCCC spokesperson Chris Taylor:
“MAGA Republicans’ heinous vote against direct action to prevent mass shootings and acts of domestic terrorism shows voters just how dangerous Republicans are in the halls of Congress.”
