Katko Refused to Reveal Who Will Get His Vote in Interview

Today, John Katko’s reelection campaign began running digital ads calling on his potential Democratic opponents to reveal who they’re supporting in the presidential race.
There’s only one problem: the vulnerable Republican refuses to let his constituents know who HE is voting for.
Past is prologue though. In 2016 Katko refused to reveal who had earned his vote. He admitted later to voting against Trump. But 2018 was a different story: desperate to hold onto his seat, Katko accepted help from Mike Pence and Trump’s children.
We know that Katko supports Trump’s agenda, including for the GOP’s 2017 Tax Scam that raised taxes on middle-class families to benefit his special interest donors.
And although he’s not on Trump’s honorary reelection committee, Katko’s previous connection to Trump’s lawyer and right-hand man Rudy Giuliani and his associates may signal how he’ll vote.
Either way, if Katko is asking his challengers to reveal their choice for president, he should let us know first.
So the question is: who are you voting for John Katko?
“Typical hypocritical John Katko,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “Katko has tried to hide his Trump voting record, and now he’s trying to hide that he will vote for him. Katko should be honest with his constituents and reveal who he is voting for in 2020.”
