Hypocrite Tom Barrett Tries to Take Credit for Infrastructure Investments He Previously Criticized

Tom Barrett tries to have it both ways, still won’t say if he supports the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

In case you missed it, hypocrite Tom Barrett is trying to take credit for bipartisan infrastructure investments Governor Whitmer signed into law yesterday.

So why won’t Barrett say whether he supports the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law or the American Rescue Plan, passed by House Democrats in Congress, which made these investments possible?

Instead of supporting the historic economic investments and job creation coming to Michigan thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – Barrett has criticized the law which is already investing in Michigan to fix crumbling roads and bridges, ease inflation, replace outdated lead pipes, and protect the Great Lakes.

“Tom Barrett wants you to believe that he supports infrastructure improvements in mid-Michigan, so why won’t he say if he’d vote for the law that made these investments possible?” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “Barrett is no more than a typical politician who will take credit for anything he thinks will help his political career, but when it comes time to deliver results and be honest about where he stands on key issues to help Michigan, he’s nowhere to be found.”
