With New Mexico set to receive billions in new infrastructure funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Yvette Herrell is happy to make her opinions known about where the money should go. The only problem? Herrell voted against the deal funding these critical investments.
Herrell wrote a letter to the EPA urging the use of infrastructure dollars to clean up superfund sites. She opined on funding for rural broadband internet, stating that, thanks to new investments, she is “confident that New Mexico can soon guarantee fast and reliable internet for all.”
But on her whirlwind public relations tour, Herrell conveniently left out she voted against the very bill making these advancements in New Mexico a reality.

She is more than happy to take credit for the critical investments now flowing into New Mexico, but when it mattered, she voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal and against New Mexico’s working families. This November, the voters of NM-02 will see through Herrell’s empty words and elect a representative who will finally fight for them at home and in Washington.”
