Punchbowl News reports that it’s not just NJ-07 families being left in the dark about Congressman Tom Kean Jr.’s whereabouts – even House GOP leadership doesn’t know where he is.
According to the report, GOP operatives “are growing concerned that Kean won’t be in a position to weather a grueling campaign this fall.” One aide said: “The answer can’t simply be ‘trust us’ when nothing about their behavior has inspired trust.”
And Insider NJ reports that Kean Jr.’s team has already said he will not attend a May 28th event – signaling that he will not be back to work any time soon.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Congressman Tom Kean Jr. has left his New Jersey constituents in the dark for over two months and now GOP insiders are openly panicking about him losing in November. Democrats will flip this seat and finally give New Jersey families leadership in Washington that puts them first.”
