Baier’s Comment Follows Oklahoma’s Vote To Expand Medicaid Under The Affordable Care Act
President Trump, AG Barr, and Republican political consultants aren’t the only ones freaking out about voter backlash to the House Republican-backed Affordable Care Act law suit.
Following Oklahoma voters’ decision to opt into the ACA’s Medicaid expansion, Fox News Chief Political Anchor Brett Baier admitted on Wednesday morning that continued Republican attacks on the law could cost them in November.
Medicaid expansion passed OK-05 by 25 points on Tuesday.
Republicans have grown increasingly panicked over the political impact of their health care lawsuit in recent weeks.
House Republicans voted twice in 2019 to back the Trump Administration’s lawsuit that could overturn the Affordable Care Act during a deadly pandemic.
REMINDER: In May, the DCCC, DNC, DSCC, DGA, DAGA, and DLCC published a joint memo outlining how candidates at every level of the ballot plan on running against the Republican lawsuit to eliminate the ACA during a pandemic.
