Gitsham to Tea Party: “I’m one of you”
Republican San Diego Congressional candidate and lobbyist Denise Gitsham used a prime speaking opportunity at the right-wing Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) to reassure the Tea Party she can be trusted to defend their extreme views: “Let me put your hearts at ease, I’m one of you.”
At CPAC, Gitsham joined the likes of other extreme right-wing political figures, including Wayne LaPierre, Rep. Steve King, Ken “transvaginal ultrasounds” Cuccinelli, and David Daleiden – the man indicted in January for his misleading Planned Parenthood videos.
“Lobbyist Denise Gitsham has confirmed where her loyalties lie and it’s not with hardworking San Diego families,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “San Diegans deserve a Member of Congress who will represent them, not the Tea Party.”
