They don’t call him George Scam-tos for nothing.
Wealthy GOP donors are calling out George Santos and his campaign for feeding them lies “as a way to encourage donors to contribute to his campaign.”
Santos, who relied on wealthy donors to power his campaign thanks to a serious lack of grassroots support, is now being blacklisted by major New York Republican donors.
Santos has been “banned from future events” with the Republican Jewish Coalition, the most prominent group of Jewish Republican donors, “after the revelation that the congressman falsely claimed to be Jewish.”
New York billionaire John Catsimatidis, who donated thousands of dollars to Santos’ campaign, has already claimed “he has no plans to help Santos again if he runs for reelection.”
MORE CRIMES?: Santos’ campaign even went so far as to impersonate Kevin McCarthy’s chief of staff to get donors’ attention – a potentially illegal move that McCarthy’s team learned about back in August of 2021.
According to campaign watchdogs, “a person who misrepresented themselves as speaking on behalf of a candidate in order to raise money may have committed a criminal violation, and any other person who knowingly and willfully participated in the plan could also face criminal charges.”
REMINDER: Fellow vulnerable New York Republicans Mike Lawler, Brandon Williams, Marc Molinaro and Nick LaLota all took Scam-tos’ shady funding for their own campaigns, and Anthony D’Esposito even has a shared victory committee with Santos.
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre
“The lies and fraud seem to never end with George Santos. New Yorkers won’t stand for this sad excuse of a Congressman.”
