This week, the Republican Arizona consulting firm Highground released their new poll, and its bad news for embattled incumbent Congressman David Schweikert.
Per the Arizona Mirror, “the most surprising nugget in the poll’s details might be that the Republicans are losing in Congressional District 6…Trump is getting creamed in CD6, 34% to 55%.”
The report went on to describe AZ-06 as “the type of district where Democrats won strong support from suburban women in 2018 during the ‘blue wave’ that resulted in the GOP losing control of the U.S. House of Representatives.”
This analysis is just the latest sign that Hiral Tipirneni is primed to unseat Schweikert and flip this seat blue.
“Embattled Congressman David Schweikert is in trouble. Between his House Ethics investigation, floundering fundraising, and constant debt, Schweikert has been so consumed with his legal troubles he hasn’t bothered to do his job representing Arizonans, and clearly voters have taken notice,” said DCCC spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “Arizonans are tired of Schweikert’s corruption, which is exactly why they’ll elect Hiral Tipirneni to Congress, someone whose entire life has been dedicated to helping others.”
