This week, national Republicans set out to pass a nationwide abortion ban. Though he refused to go on the record about the proposed bill, John Gibbs has a history of standing against women’s freedoms and is no doubt eager to see this bill cross the finish line. He is, after all, endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan, an extreme anti-abortion organization whose parent organization has already announced its support for this latest attack on abortion rights across the country.
REMINDER: Gibbs has previously said he’s “100% pro-life in all cases” and wants to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother. He lauded the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade as “great news for women” – a position far out of step with the vast majority of Michiganders.
