ICYMI: Kiggans Keeps Dodging Press and Voters

This week Jen Kiggans continued her record of refusing to answer questions from press and Virginians. In the second VA-02 debate, Kiggans was asked if President Biden won the 2020 election “freely and fairly.” Instead of answering, Kiggans did what she does best: dodging the question and refusing to be transparent with the people of Virgina.

13NewsNow called out Kiggans for ducking press:

“Now, after tonight’s debate, our crew saw Senator Kiggans quickly leave through a back door without talking to local media. In the last hour, I spoke to her campaign by phone and asked repeatedly whether Kiggans believes Joe Biden was fairly elected: yes or no. They would not answer that question.”
It comes as no surprise that Kiggan is refusing to respond with a simple yes or no. Just last week Kiggans refused to answer repeated reporter questions about the 2020 election, instead looking to a staffer to usher her out.

  • “In Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, Democratic incumbent Elaine Luria is up against Republican State Sen. Jen Kiggans. On Monday, the two met in Smithfield to debate for the second time.”
  • “Many questions centered around President Joe Biden. The moderator asked each candidate if they felt that Biden won a fair and free election.”
  • “Kiggans didn’t say yes or no but did say this after being asked more than once.”
  • “‘Joe Biden is the president and he’s destroying the country,’ said Kiggans.”
