In case you missed it: Republican Rod Blum is making headlines for losing his temper and storming out of a TV interview with KCRG (TV9) last night while surrounded by a group of shocked Iowa children. Blum’s night went from bad to worse after his constituents grilled him at his town hall in Dubuque for voting for the deeply unpopular Republican Ripoff & Repeal bill.
The Washington Post said of Blum’s performance “This GOP congressman shows how NOT to conduct yourself back home.”
“The way Congressman Blum conducted himself last night is an embarrassment for the people of Iowa,” said DCCC spokeswoman Rachel Irwin. “If Rod Blum can’t handle tough questions about his votes to raise health care premiums for Iowa seniors and families, he doesn’t deserve to represent them in Congress. This doesn’t bode well for Runaway Rod, making him even more vulnerable ahead of 2018.”
