Election denier Kelly Townsend officially announced her campaign for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District yesterday, and she wasted no time proving her far-right credentials.
Best known for pushing conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and comparing COVID vaccines to “communism,” Townsend called for an “indictment” of election workers while speaking at a Trump rally in Arizona over the weekend.
Townsend’s support for the bogus Arizona audit even earned her a shoutout from the disgraced former president, who appears to be backing Townsend against GOP candidate Juan Ciscomani in what is shaping up to be a damaging race to the right.
