ICYMI: Vulnerable New York Republicans Refuse to Answer For Their Role in Restricting Women’s Freedoms

Vulnerable New York Republicans are silent after turning their backs on New Yorkers to advance GOP’s radical anti-choice agenda

Despite spending months on the campaign trail trying to downplay to New Yorkers the threat that their party and that they themselves presented to New Yorkers’ abortion rights, vulnerable New York freshmen Nick LaLota, Anthony D’Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams are now already cowering from facing the anti-choice record they’ve built in their short time in Congress.

According to Politico, when asked to discuss the importance of abortion access to New York voters, “D’Esposito, Molinaro, LaLota, and Williams did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Lawler’s office denied an interview request and he denied a request made in person. The National Republican Congressional Committee also declined to comment on this issue.”

As a reminder, these Republicans have already:

DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“These Republicans and the NRCC are clearly scared to answer for the unpopular anti-choice record they’ve built because they know New Yorkers won’t support it. While they tried to hide their anti-choice extremism in 2022, these members eagerly voted for their party’s radical and dangerous anti-choice legislation as soon as they were in Congress. New Yorkers won’t let these vulnerable Republicans hide for much longer.”
