| Gas prices in Florida are nearly $4.20 per gallon, up more than $1 compared to last year.
Grocery prices are up 25% and Miamians rank the cost of food as one of their top budget constraints.
Floridians are being forced to choose between livesaving medical care and putting a roof over their heads as the cost of health care skyrockets – with one cancer patient’s premiums jumping nearly 80,000%.
Yet on a local Florida radio show, Scott Singer said this was just “a small price to pay,” and pointed to gains in the stock market as proof that “It may not feel that way to some people, but the numbers are very good.”
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“I’m sure cancer patients who can’t afford their medication anymore or working moms forced to choose between gas in the car or food on the table are extremely relieved to hear that Scott Singer’s stock portfolio is doing well.” |
