| Last week marked the 110th anniversary of the historic creation of the National Park Service. Instead of protecting Alaska’s critical parks, Nick Begich proudly supported massive cuts to National Parks funding and park service jobs across Alaska.
Begich’s cuts decimated federal jobs throughout critical industries like the Forest Service, National Park Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services – jobs that make up 10.5% of Alaska’s federal workforce and support a vital source of Alaska’s economy.
The Begich-backed cuts have cost the National Park Service Alaska regional office one-third of their staff, continuing Begich’s trend of decimating Alaskan jobs and wreaking havoc on the local economy.
REMINDER: Begich was a proud member of the DOGE Caucus, and repeatedly praised its work, claiming “Americans want DOGE.”
