Ron DeSantis is making his way back to Long Island for a fundraiser tonight in New York’s competitive 1st Congressional District, but vulnerable Rep. Nick LaLota has so far refused to say whether he’ll be joining DeSantis’ event.
As a reminder, LaLota bragged that he felt honored last time he welcomed Ron DeSantis to Long Island.
DeSantis has made clear he wants to “Make America Florida” by pushing dangerous and unpopular policies like extreme abortion bans and even cutting Social Security and Medicare – yet LaLota is choosing now to cower in silence.
DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Voters deserve to know if Nick LaLota is welcoming a dangerous extremist to Southampton with open arms, or if he’s just too cowardly to stand up for Long Island.”
