It’s Been 800 Days Since the Farm Bill Expired. Where Are Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn?

Today – Tuesday, December 9th – marks 800 days since the Farm Bill expired on September 30, 2023.

Iowans haven’t seen a new and updated Farm Bill since 2018, and Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn are missing in action.

Miller-Meeks and Nunn are failing to address the growing challenges facing Iowa farmers – from their failures at passing a new Farm Bill that provides certainty to Iowa farmers and producers to make accurate business decisions, or their support for reckless tariffs that have further devastated the farm economy by ripping away markets.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn have broken their promise to Iowans by completely failing to pass a new Farm Bill. Iowa farmers deserve better than Miller-Meeks and Nunn, who are more focused on doing the bidding of DC interests and their party bosses than fighting for Iowa.”

Reminder of what Iowa’s farmers are facing under Miller-Meeks and Nunn’s leadership:
