Jamie Ager Added to DCCC’s Coveted ‘Red to Blue’ Program

Ager will flip North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District blue and help take back the House majority

Today, the DCCC announced that Jamie Ager has been added to the first round of the committee’s highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, signaling that the DCCC is invested in providing Ager, a top-tier candidate, with the support needed to continue building a winning campaign as he runs for NC-11.

“Jamie Ager is the hometown fighter that North Carolinians deserve to have representing them in Congress. Chuck Edwards abandoned Western North Carolina when they needed him most after Hurricane Helene. Meanwhile, Ager stepped up to help his neighbors. Now, he’s ready to do what Chuck Edwards wouldn’t and fight for Western North Carolina,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.

A proud son of Western North Carolina and fourth-generation farmer, Jamie Ager grew up on his family farm, Hickory Nut Gap. Together, he and his wife built his family farm into a successful, sustainable small business. Jamie has never hesitated to help his neighbors. After Hurricane Helene, Jamie opened up his home and his farm to make sure those in need had a safe place to stay and food to eat — and when the time came, Jamie helped his neighbors repair their homes with his very own hands while Chuck Edwards abandoned North Carolinians. Jamie knows the value of hard work and community, and he’s ready to bring those principles to Congress.

Reminder: Only five other districts in the country swung as hard in Democrats’ favor in 2024 as NC-11.

Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue building winning campaigns. Additionally, through Red to Blue the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings, fundraising support, and more.
