Jen Kiggans Remains Silent As Conditions on USS Lincoln Worsen

While other lawmakers demand answers, Kiggans stays silent

Has a cat gotten Jen Kiggans’ tongue?

As conditions worsen on the USS Abraham Lincoln and lawmakers demand answers on behalf of concerned Navy families, Kiggans has remained silent.

The Lincoln is currently deployed in the Middle East in support of the war of choice in Iran, which Kiggans has said she “couldn’t be a stauncher supporter of” and repeatedly voted to continue.

The ship has experienced shortages of supplies, water contamination, and other safety concerns. Reporting has revealed that conditions have gotten so bad on the ship that multiple sailors have jumped overboard.

Kiggans has previously dismissed sailors’ concerns about the conditions on carriers, including the Norfolk-based USS Gerald Ford. When she was asked by WTKR about the unsafe conditions sailors faced, she said, “this is not Carnival Cruise,” and that sailors “know what [they are] getting into.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Jen Kiggans promised to look out for our servicemembers and military families, but says nothing as they are forced to endure alarming conditions because of her support for a war of choice in Iran. She is so concerned about upsetting her boss Donald Trump that she is unwilling to speak out.”
